Summary
The Lead Internal Communications Specialist will create internal communications plans for key company initiatives and events to educate and inform associates. Oversee the management and ongoing development of internal communications vehicles, including corporate intranet news, digital signage, and other mediums. Regularly evaluate the value of these resources and optimize their usage to ensure effective and consistent messages throughout the company.
Establish and foster successful relationships with stakeholders across the organization while fostering collaborative relationships within the immediate team. Stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, events, products, and services, and ensure consistency in messaging. Help internal clients aligning internal communication with strategic direction of the organization. Support communications aspects of key company initiatives and HR divisional initiatives. Provide expertise and advice to clients on messaging, consistency, content and style issues on various projects including publications, policies and procedures, management talking points, websites, internal memorandums, etc.
Partner with other company communications departments on cross-functional communications plans and creating content for internal communications vehicles in support of those plans. Aligns work to enterprise communications strategy and messages and follows company communications standards, style guides, and processes.
Review work product of Associate Communications team members for messaging, clarity, style, tone, grammar, etc. Ensures quality of ongoing day-to-day communications.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in English, communications or a related field and seven to ten years of related work experience, including five years of experience in corporate/employee communications.
Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines, and work well in a fast paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and project management skills and abilities.
Ability to work well across all levels of the organization to achieve desired goals and outcomes.
High level of creativity and thorough understanding of design, desktop publishing and related computer applications.
